The Delta Clipped Wings will hold their Annual Holiday Bazaar on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Hilton Atlanta Airport beginning at 10AM.

On March 22, 2019 Delta Clipped Wings, a 501(c)(3) organization, will host its annual charity event to support the following four charities:
1) CURE Childhood Cancer ~ an organization dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through research, education, and support of patients and their families
2) Ladies Day Fund, Inc. ~ an organization assisting active and retired Delta flight attendants in need due to catastrophic illness or events.
3) Pets for Vets (Atlanta Humane Society) ~ a program initiated by the Atlanta Humane Society to thank Veterans for their service by providing free adoptions to them.
4) The Breast Cancer Research Foundation ~ an organization dedicated to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer by providing critical funding to leading medical centers worldwide for research and increasing public awareness about good breast health. A minimum of 85 cents of every dollar donated goes to these programs.
Our fundraiser will include a silent auction and a raffle featuring products and services donated by our community business supporters. 
All proceeds from this event will go to the above-named charities.

The fifth annual DGW Fly-in/Drive-in will be held May 16 at the Alexander Memorial Airport in Williamson, GA. Some of you have attended previous events and an open invitation is again extended to all Clipped Wings, Pioneers, and other Delta retirees and employees who wish to join the fun. The intent is to bring Delta people together, to reacquaint, and reminisce of times gone by and support the Candler Field Youth Program.
A $5.00 donation is requested to “Help Youth Achieve Their Dreams.” The Youth Program will have a burger lunch line at 12 Noon as a fund raiser. All proceeds from the event will support the Candler Field Youth Mentorship Program where young people learn to restore, maintain and fly airplanes.
Fly or drive your airplane or special car and we will place it on display for all to admire. But you don’t need an airplane or special car to participate…just come and join the fun! Guests are welcome! Mingle with old friends, visit the museum, or admire the cars and planes. Plan to stay for the day. We hope to see you!

​The Delta Pioneers 2019 National Convention will be April 23-27, 2019 with attendees arriving on Tuesday, April 23 and returning home on Saturday, April 27.
The Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn Express located at 4601 Best Road, College Park, GA.  The Delta room rate of $89 plus taxes can be booked by calling 1-800-543-6431.  Be sure to ask for the Group Block Code of DP1 (Delta Pioneers 1) to get the rate.
Our day trip for this Convention will be going to Dahlonega, Ga. on Friday, April 26.

The Delta Pioneers 2017 National Convention was held September 27, 28, and 29 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott located at 4711 Best Road, College Park, GA.
This was our 41st year!
Thursday, September 28 was allotted for a day trip to the Warner Robins' Museum of Aviation followed by lunch at Buckner's Family Restaurant.
On Friday, September 29, a tour of the OCC located at the G.O. was offered to attendees. Participants watched Flight Control as they worked their individual flights and saw Delta's meteorologists' weather maps.

ITDR Road Show Update
Thanks to all who have attended the Trust's Road Shows in past years. The feedback we've received is that they have been great events for our Atlanta-area Members to see old friends and get updates about their Trust Plan Benefits. We value the camaraderie, and appreciate that feedback as we look toward ways to continue to grow Trust Plan Membership.
We are making a change and suspending the Road Show for this fall. Instead, resources will be used to support other opportunities in various locations focused on increasing our visibility within the Delta community, and increasing the number of new retirees that choose to join the Trust when they become eligible.
The remainder of our enrollment schedule this fall will remain as in years past. Look for our postcard in September with a heads up about the mailing of annual enrollment kits and other benefits updates.
In October, the Trust will provide an online presentation and resources for all current and prospective Members to learn about 2019 benefits plan updates that will be covered in your annual enrollment materials.
As always, Health Advocate and the Retiree Service Center will be available to answer any questions you have about your benefit plans.

DALRC is offering the following 2018 tour and 2019 cruise to the members in good standing of the membership based organizations in the CDRO, which are the Pioneers, Golden Wings and the Clipped Wings, in addition to DALRC.

You may bring a maximum of 4 individuals in your party. Your travel companion(s) does not need a Delta background, but the qualifying DALRC member, spouse, or survivor must be one of the travelers. Since this tour is customized, it will not have other non-Delta travelers; only Delta retirees, spouses, and survivors (and companions). This will maintain a unique atmosphere of comaraderie and the “Delta Family”.
An initial non-refundable deposit of $200 per person by check only will be due no later than May 1, 2018. The remaining balance for the tour must be paid no later than July 15, 2018.
