MANAGE DEPENDENTS, BUDDY-PASS RIDERS, OTHERS ON SELF-SERVICE 'MY DEPENDENTS' TILE JUNE 25
By HR Communications staff
On June 25, adding and updating information about dependents and others will be centralized in one location on Self-Service – the "My Dependents" tile. This is where all employees will go to electronically view current dependents and add new dependents and others for health/welfare coverage* and pass travel – including travel companions and Buddy Pass riders. Basic instructions can be found here.

One of the biggest changes - Buddy Pass riders will now be added via the Self-Service "My Dependents" tile instead of in TravelNet. However, they must continue to be authorized and listed on flights in TravelNet.

To help combat fraud and misuse, which hurts Delta's brand and bottom line, employees will now have to enter a government-issued ID number and nationality for each individual Buddy Pass rider. A government-issued ID is a Social Security Number for U.S. citizens, a Social Insurance Number for Canadian citizens and a passport number for citizens of other countries. Once added, a Buddy Pass rider's information will not have to be added to the system again– the employee will just need to list/him her in TravelNet for any future flights.

In order to bring about this change, Self-Service will be unavailable from 6 p.m. ET Friday, June 22 to 6 a.m. ET Monday, June 25.

* Please note, once added and approved, health/welfare-eligible dependents of employees in the U.S., Canada, Bahamas and Bermuda will receive notification to go to Benefits Direct to enroll their new dependent for coverage. Dependents of employees in all other countries who are eligible for health/welfare coverage will continue to have these benefits administered through local vendors.
