DEPOSIT DATE SCHEDULE CHANGE

Senior Employees and Retirees
Delta recently changed the way our pension checks are processed and delivered to our banking institutions. The checks now go through the Federal Reserve which only processes checks Monday-Friday. This change resulted in financial institutions depositing pension checks the first business day (non-holiday) after the 1st of the month. If the 1st of the month falls on a weekend day or a holiday, the deposit date will be the following Monday (or Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday).
For example: October 1st was on a Sunday; checks were deposited on Monday, the 2nd.

NOTE 1: Our pension deposits now appear in our Delta Community Credit Union account as “ACH Deposit / DELTA AIRLINES” as opposed to the previous “Payroll Deposit.” Not sure about other banks or credit unions “deposit” indications, but the deposit policy is the same regardless of where you bank.

NOTE 2: If you have any automatic payments scheduled for the first of the month you may want to re-schedule them for the 4th of the month or later.
